As in every month of January for 12 years, the Old Montreal, landmark of the best gastronomic tables in town, offers menus all flavors and low prices during this first month of the year when sometimes our finances are a little tight and our limited outings. The 2019 Happening Gourmand offers you a gourmet getaway through 9 excellent restaurants.

Here are some examples of tasty dishes in the various restaurants participating in 2019 Happening Gourmand
Let yourself be transported by the finest of French cuisines by tasting, to start, the grilled vegetable ‘mille-feuille’ with chive crème and basil pesto to start, Paprika and maple grilled guinea fowl, green peas quinoa, sautéed pattypan, mustard cream or a homemade wild mushroom ravioli with truffle cream sauce as a main, topped off with a caramel and salted butter light mousse, toffee sponge and crispy almond strudel!
Then treat yourself to one of the best cuts of beef in Montreal or start with its salmon tartare. Enjoy a mouth-watering New York cut beef sirloin served with cheddar mashed potatoes, asparagus and pepper sauce, and finish with a homemade vanilla and raspberry cheesecake
Bevo Bar + Pizzeria:
Here, as you surely know, Italy is in the spotlight and where the table d’hôte selections comprise of the entire everyday menu! Savor their perfectly fried calamari or opt for their flavourful porchetta sliders, followed by their variety of pasta dishes cooked to perfection, as well as their famous wood oven pizzas. Finish the with a heavenly tiramisu or decadent Nutella pizza.
Here is the classic steak. Opt for 10oz Top Sirloin, baseball cut served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables, it’s a delight. It is this dish that I took. And for the classic, I had a delicious Caesar salad as a starter. Nothing fancy, though the garlic baked snails looked delicious too.
